● An important raw material for unsaturated polyesters, epoxy resins, polyurethane resins, plasticizers, and surfactants. Unsaturated polyesters are widely used in surface
coatings and reinforced plastics.
● Its aqueous solution is an effective antifreeze agent and is also used as a tobacco wetting agent, mildew inhibitor, and fruit ripening and preservative.
