Magnesium sulfate monohydrate

Product Details

Uses of Magnesium Sulfate: Magnesium is a central element of chlorophyll and is essential for photosynthesis. It is an activator of many enzymes, promoting carbohydrate metabolism, nucleic acid synthesis, and phosphate conversion. Magnesium participates in protein synthesis as a component of polynuclear proteins and acts as a medium for gene transmission as a component of some chromosomes.

Applications: Used in pharmaceuticals, food, feed additives, fermentation, industry, engineering plastics, agricultural fertilizers, daily chemical products and other fields.

I. Magnesium Sulfate in Agriculture

Sulfur and magnesium provide abundant nutrients for crops, contributing to crop growth and increased yields. They also loosen the soil and improve soil quality. Symptoms of sulfur and magnesium deficiency:

1. Discoloration disease mainly produces striped patches; severe deficiency can lead to depletion and death.

2. Green leaves become smaller, and the edges wither.

3. The appearance of pale orange-red, red, or purple spots resembling marble patterns.

4. Susceptibility to bacterial infections and premature leaf drop.

II. Magnesium Sulfate in Livestock Farming: Magnesium fertilizer is generally applied to pastures from early spring to the end of the year, or until the green grass provides sufficient magnesium. Adding appropriate amounts of magnesium sulfate to feed and drinking water can meet the needs of dairy cows' sebaceous gland growth, improving the quality and quantity of milk production.

III. Magnesium Sulfate in Daily Life

1. Adding appropriate amounts of magnesium sulfate to foot baths and shower gels can treat athlete's foot, reduce muscle stiffness, and relieve fatigue.

2. Adding an appropriate amount of magnesium sulfate to shampoo helps reduce oiliness and makes hair smoother.

3. It can be used in artificial snowmaking for television drama filming.

IV. Magnesium sulfate is used in medicine (CP): It has laxative, anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling, detoxifying, analgesic, central nervous system depressant, anticonvulsant, and antispasmodic effects.

V. Magnesium sulfate is used in industry: as a synthetic additive for ABS and PVC resins, in papermaking, printing and dyeing, industrial applications, monosodium glutamate (MSG), and yeast fermentation.

VI. Magnesium sulfate containing a small amount of water of crystallization or without water of crystallization can be used in organic synthesis and as a desiccant for feed and fertilizer.
