Aluminum Chlorohydrate

Basic aluminum chloride (ACH) is an inorganic polymer compound with a basicity (basicity) higher than polyaluminum chloride (PAC) and second only to aluminum hydroxide.

It is a white solid powder with an alumina content of 46%-50%. It has strong bridging and adsorption properties, excellent flocculation ability, is readily soluble in water, and can form colloids.

Liquid ACH contains more than 23% alumina. Its solution is a colorless, transparent, or slightly yellow liquid, readily soluble in water, with a specific gravity of 1.33-1.35 g/ml (20℃), and is corrosive.

Main Uses

1. As an antiperspirant, deodorant, and astringent, it is used in personal care products and other fields.

2. As a flocculant, it is mainly used for the purification of drinking water and special water treatment for water supply, such as dyeing and printing wastewater, removing iron, fluoride, cadmium, and radioactive pollutants. It is commonly used in environments with a pH value greater than 7.5. Advantages: - Improved turbidity removal - Improved color removal - Enhanced TOC (Total Organic Carbon) removal - Reduced filtration turbidity - Increased filtration range - More than 50% reduction in sediment - Simplified operation, eliminating the need for pH adjustment and secondary polyelectrolyte addition - Reduced overall treatment costs.
