Main Uses:
1. Used for bleaching cotton, linen, pulp, and silk fabrics; sterilizing and disinfecting drinking water and swimming pool water; purifying acetylene, etc.
2. Antimicrobial agent; tap water purifier; disinfectant; bleaching agent. Similar to bleaching powder, but with a higher effective chlorine content. When dissolved in water, it leaves few insoluble residues, is stable, and shows a tendency to replace bleaching powder. Used as an analytical reagent and catalyst. Used in the preparation of metallic cerium and cerium salts. An oxidizing bactericide with a bactericidal mechanism similar to liquid chlorine.
3. Mainly used for bleaching cotton and linen textiles, chemical fibers, pulp, and starch; also used for disinfection and sterilization of drinking water and swimming pool water. In the military industry, it can be used as a chemical agent (such as mustard gas) and a disinfectant against radioactive materials.
